About converting fahrenheit to celsius
Subtract 32 first, then multiply by 5/9. The order matters and getting it backwards is the usual mistake - multiplying first and then subtracting gives an answer that is wrong by about 18 degrees.
For a rough figure, subtract 30 and halve it. 75 °F gives about 22 °C, against a true 23.9. Good enough for weather, not for an oven.
