About converting celsius to fahrenheit
Multiply by 9/5 and add 32. The addition is what makes temperature different from every other conversion on this site: the two scales put their zero in different places, so multiplying by a single factor gives the wrong answer.
Two reference points are worth memorising because they anchor everything else: 0 °C is 32 °F, and the scales cross at −40, where both read the same number.
