Frequently asked questions
- Is my data uploaded to a server?
- No. Every operation runs inside your browser using JavaScript. Nothing you paste or type is sent to our servers, stored or logged. You can disconnect from the network after the page loads and the tool keeps working.
- Why use Latin-looking nonsense rather than real text?
- Because readable text pulls attention to what it says rather than to the layout, and because placeholder text that reads as English has a habit of reaching production. Text that is obviously not English gets noticed and replaced.
- Should I use lorem ipsum at all?
- For testing layout and spacing, yes. For deciding whether a design works, real or realistic content is far better - lorem ipsum has an even texture that real writing never has, and it hides problems that only show up with genuine headings and awkward names.

How your data is handled
Everything happens on your device. There is no upload, no storage and no logging, and only your interface preferences - theme, indentation, font size and word wrap - are kept between visits. Closing the tab clears the document.
